The Work

My paintings begin with observation. The wild landscape, the human figure, the quiet moments that shape our experience of place.  Working in bold colour and expressive gesture, I create original paintings that invite reflection, curiosity and connection.

Based in British Columbia, Dana Finnie creates original contemporary paintings that explore beauty, memory, and our relationship with the natural world.  Her practice moves between the expansive landscapes of Wild Places, vibrant figurative works of Rituals of Beauty and the evolving Cedar and Thistle project.
